The Practice is published by Stoa, LLC, a Georgia limited liability company. This notice explains what this website collects, why, who processes it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
This site sets no cookies, runs no visitor analytics, loads no third-party tracking scripts, and shows no advertising. Nothing you do here is profiled or sold. The only information this site collects from you directly is what you type into a form here and choose to send. When you submit a form we also record technical details of the submission itself, including your IP address, as described in Section II. The one thing here that reports back without a form is the Fit Finder on the marketplace page, which sends us anonymous counts of the answers visitors choose, described in Section II; nothing in those counts identifies you. If you never submit a form, this site collects nothing else about you beyond the ordinary server records described in Section III.
The request-access form asks for your email address and, optionally, your role, the stage of your business, the kinds of work you want help with, the product that prompted the inquiry, and a free-text message. When you submit it, we store those answers together with the date and time, the IP address your request arrived from, and your browser's user-agent string. The IP address and user-agent are kept as a record of the submission and to identify abuse of the form.
The Fit Finder on the marketplace page asks about your work and recommends a product. Your answers are used inside your browser to compute the recommendation, and the finder remembers, in your own browser only, that you have closed its card. What it sends us is a count, kept without any identifier, of which answers were chosen and which result was shown, so that we can see what visitors are looking for and stock the shelf accordingly. If you choose to send an inquiry from the finder, we store what you typed into it, including your answers as you edited them, your business and team size, your name, and your email address, together with the same submission details described above, and we send a copy of the inquiry to the address you gave.
We use what you send to read and answer your inquiry, to decide whether what you are asking for is something we offer, and to keep a record of the exchange. We do not add you to a mailing list because you contacted us. The Letters is a separate subscription you choose on its own.
Please do not send confidential or sensitive information through this form. It is a contact form, not a secure channel, and nothing you send through it is privileged.
This site is hosted on Cloudflare's network. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes ordinary request data, including IP addresses, in order to serve pages, defend against attacks, and keep the service available. We do not maintain a separate analytics record of your visit.
The service providers listed here handle information on our behalf, and only for the purposes described here.
Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the site, provides the Turnstile check that verifies a form submission came from a person rather than a script, and stores submitted inquiries in a database we control.
Google LLC delivers a notification of your inquiry to our own mailbox, through Google Workspace, so that a person reads it.
Where you pay for something on this site, the payment is handled by a payment processor identified to you at the time, under its own privacy policy. It collects your card or bank details directly. We never see or store a full card number. What reaches us is the record of the transaction, which we keep as a business and tax record.
The Letters, our publication, is hosted separately by Substack, Inc. If you subscribe there, your subscription is governed by Substack's own privacy policy and terms, not by this notice.
We are a Georgia business, and our providers process this information in the United States. If you write to us from outside the United States, understand that your information is handled here.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose it only to the providers above, or where the law requires it.
Some tools published here, including the free Business X-Ray Lite, run entirely inside your browser. What you enter into them stays on your device. It is not transmitted to us, and we never see it.
We keep an inquiry while the conversation it started is live, and then as a business record for no longer than twenty-four months after our last exchange with you, unless a law or a pending dispute requires us to keep it longer. After that we delete it. Records of a purchase are different: tax and accounting law requires us to keep those longer, and we keep them for as long as it requires and no longer. You may ask us to delete what we hold about you sooner, and we will unless we are required to retain it.
Whatever state or country you are in, you may ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected] and say what you want done. We answer within forty-five days, and if we need longer we will tell you why before that period ends. Because we hold very little about anyone, verifying you is usually as simple as writing from the address you used; if we cannot match your request to a record, we will say so rather than guess. We will not treat you differently for asking. If you are in a jurisdiction that gives you a right to appeal a refusal, tell us and we will explain the route.
We use the protections our providers offer, keep what we collect to a minimum, and limit who can reach it. No system carries a promise of perfect security, and this notice makes none.
This site is built for working professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will remove it.
If this notice changes, we change the effective date above, and we describe any material change on this page. September 2026: Section II gained the Fit Finder, its anonymous answer counts, and its inquiry form, and Section I was adjusted to match.
